Engineers Board of Kenya visited ABEEK(Accreditation Board for Engineering Education of Korea) on the 20th of September. KPEA(Korean Professional Engineering Association)'s Chair of International Affairs Committee Seokyong Yun and Advisor Nam Ho also participated in the meeting.
Hale Kim, the Vice President of ABEEK, gave a presentation about the Current Status of Engineering Education and Accreditation of Engineering Education in Korea and shared knowledge about joining International Accords, the structure of Accords, evaluation standards, and future vision.
The Board Chairman of EBK Eng. Erastus Mwongera said, "we hope Kenya to join the International Engineering Alliance starting with the application for membership in the Washington Accords. Through this meeting, I was able to get great insights into the development of the Kenyan engineering education system".
